Thomson Private Family Cemetery

Dipper Harbour, NB

Note: This Thomson family in Dipper Harbour is of different origins than the Thompson family of Chance Harbour nearby and spells its name without the ‘p’. There is the odd case in which a Thompson of the Chance Harbour family has married a Thomson of the Dipper Harbour family and vice versa. The Thompsons of Chance Harbour have their own private family cemetery, Thompson Cemetery, on Cemetery Loop Road by the bridge over Moose Creek at the boundary of Chance Harbour with Dipper Harbour – at least that’s what the municipal sign says although both are unincorporated villages or hamlets in the Parish of Musquash, County of St John.
